Infamous Jharkhand gangster Aman Sahu was shot dead in an encounter in the Ramgarh police station area of Palamu district. The incident occurred while he was being transported to Raipur jail in Chhattisgarh. During the transfer, Sahu managed to snatch an INSAS rifle from an STS commando and attempted to escape while firing at the security personnel. One officer sustained injuries in the attack. In response, the police launched an immediate counter-operation, neutralizing Aman Sahu on the spot. Sahu, a feared criminal in Jharkhand, was involved in multiple cases of extortion, murder, and organized crime. His death marks a significant victory for law enforcement in the fight against organized crime in the state.
