The Supreme Court on Tuesday held that government cannot charge entertainment tax from customers for booking movie tickets online. The top court uphled the Madras High Court order which ruled said that online ticket booking charges cannot be subjected to Entertainment Tax under Tamil Nadu Entertainment Tax Act, 1939.
