Car Runs Into Pedestrians In Suspected Terror Attack In Israel, 8 Injured


A vehicle struck pedestrians on Highway 65 near the Pardes Hanna-Karkur intersection, Israel’s National Emergency response team, MDA, said on Thursday afternoon. Israel Police have launched an investigation, treating the incident as a potential terror attack, according to a report by The Jerusalem Post.

As per the MDA, a vehicle drove into multiple pedestrians at around 4:18 p.m. local time, where eight people were wounded, two of whom are in serious condition. Out of 8 injured, 5 were men and 3 were women, aged 20 to 70, MDA spokesperson Zaki Heller said.

Six of the wounded victims were rushed to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera.

Police Officers Were Stabbed

Israeli media confirmed that two cops were stabbed at the scene at the Karkur intersection. The Israel Police also announced that a terrorist was shot dead. It was disclosed that the terrorist was a 24-year-old Israeli Arab from Ma’ale Iron with no criminal or security past. 

Israel Police spokesperson said, “The terrorist ran over several people at a bus station, then proceeded to stab others and crashed into a police vehicle.”

“There were two people in serious condition, three in moderate condition, and three in mild condition. They were near a bus stop at the Pardes Hanna Junction, in the westbound lane, when the vehicle hit them. When we arrived, they were lying in the back area. We immediately began providing medical treatment, including stopping bleeding and bandaging wounds,” MDA Paramedic Avi Cohen said.
