Actor Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on early Thursday morning after being stabbed six times by a thief at his residence.

Actor Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed multiple times at his Bandra residence on Thursday morning, was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw by his elder son Ibrahim as he was bleeding heavily and the car was yet not ready to leave.
Ibrahim, 23, aided his bleeding father get onto the three-wheeler after the car was yet not ready to depart due to the unavailability of the driver at that time.
Khan was stabbed during a robbery bid at his residence on Thursday morning. He sustained six injuries, two of which were deep, including one near the spine.

Son Ibrahim Takes Bleeding Father To Hospital
In order to avoid losing time, the father-son duo used an auto-rickshaw and rushed to the hospital which was nearly two kilometres from their residence.
A video shot moments after this showed Khan’s wife and actor Kareena Kapoor Khan standing near the auto and speaking to the house staff.
The actor, 54, suffered several stab injuries, two of which were deep and one was near his spine, during a scuffle with the thief who tried to enter his son’s room. He underwent surgery and is now out of danger, according to his team which issued a statement providing an update on his health.
It said that the doctors were monitoring his situation. Khan is currently in the ICU after his surgery in which the doctors removed the piece of knife from his body.

What’s Latest In Police Probe?
According to sources, the police have concluded that the assailant was a thief who, it is assumed, climbed the building through the pipe. The building does not have a proper security system, the police probe has found.
The actor lives on the 12th floor of an elite residential society in Bandra.
The thief entered the house through an open window only for the purpose of theft. He was hiding in the room when the maid of the house saw him, sources said.
The police have ruled out the role of any terror organisation behind the attack. They have seized the CCTV footage installed in and around the building.
