Celebrity MasterChef is stirring up some serious drama and entertainment in the kitchen. From heated debates among celebrity participants to flavourful and delectable food, the cooking reality programme has captivated viewers. The celebrities have been learning more and more about cooking so far, now the judges have decided to teach them how to sell the food as well. Recently, the contestants were given a team challenge and they were asked to sell their dishes.
A recent promo teases the exciting new challenge where the contestants were divided into two groups Team Korean and Team Mexico and whoever sells the most will be saved. Team Korean consisted of Usha Nadkarni, Dipika Kakar, Ayesha Jhulka and Faisal Shaikh. Team Mexico included Gaurav Khanna, Kabita Singh, Rajiv Adatia and Tejasswi Prakash. Tejasswi Prakash uses a unique strategy to sell the delicacies and invite guests to her stall. She offers a dish for Rs 600 and even says, “Rs 200 mai hug bhi de rahi hu mai (I’m giving hugs for Rs 200).” She then takes selfies with a few followers and demands from one, “Selfie ke paise de do (Give money for the selfie).” Tejasswi mentions that she has lost several team challenges and does not want to lose this one.
Meanwhile, Abhijeet Sawant was the competitor who got eliminated from Celebrity MasterChef recently. The candidates were given the challenge of producing Croquembouche Cake. Abhijeet was competing against Dipika Kakar Ibrahim Tejasswi Prakash, Rajiv Adatia, Nikki Tamboli, Kabita Singh in the elimination challenge. Abhijeet’s prepared dish did not impress the judges, and his time on the show came to an end. His elimination put judge Farah Khan in tears, and she even indicated that he could return as a wildcard contender. Prior to this, Chandan Prabhakar was also eliminated. Later, Ayesha Jhulka joined the show as a wildcard entrant.
Celebrity MasterChef stars television personalities and social media influencers who try their hand at cooking. The difficulty level increases each week, making the competition even tougher.. The reality show, judged by Farah Khan, Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar, airs from Monday to Friday at 8 pm.
