Chum Darang recently opened up about her initial days in Mumbai, her wish to get married and have kids.

Chum Darang, who was part of films like Badhaai Do and Gangubai Kathiawadi, rose to fame with her stint on the popular reality show Bigg Boss 18. The actress, hailing from Arunachal Pradesh, became an overnight sensation with her strong gameplay and dating rumours with television actor Karan Veer Mehra. Recently, the actress sat for a heartfelt conversation with Bharti Singh and her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, for their YouTube channel.
In the podcast, Chum Darang opened up hometown, her journey in Mumbai and various struggles, her experience of staying inside the Bigg Boss 18 house and her views on marriage and kids, among others. Now, that her interview has been trending on YouTube, she shared a promo video on her Instagram stories featuring a montage of various moments from the entire conversation. Alongside it, she penned a note expressing gratitude. She wrote, “We are trending on YouTube, top 10. Hope you all have watched our podcast and liked it. Thank you @bharti.laughterqueen @haarshlimbachiyaa30.”
In the clip, Chum Darang could be heard saying, “Main Arunachal se hu. North East bhi focus mein aa raha hai dheere dheere because talent bahut hai lekin opportunity humein bahut kam milta hai.” Then, host Bharti also praised the actress mentioning, “Chum Arunachal ki nhi hai. Chum purey India ki hai.” However, the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress revealed, “Bigg Boss tak pahuchna bhi mere liye jeet tha kyunki main bahut chote jagah se aati hu Pasighat.”
Talking about her initial journey in the entertainment industry, Chum stated, “Shuruyat mein toh roles weren’t good. Itna achcha nhi hota tha. Kaam bhi chahiye toh kuch kuch karna hi padta tha nah,” adding, “18 mein aaya tha par maine 19 mein chor bhi diya tha.”
On her experience in Bigg Boss 18, she shared, “Humein jahape soft hona hai, hum wahape soft hote hai aur bahut bura ho raha hai toh hum bhi bura ho sakte hai.” Later, when she was asked about her wish to get married, she shared, “Mujhe karni hai. I want kids also. Jyada baad mein late ho jaane se main bahut old ho jayungi nah jab mera baby.” She also quizzed Bharti and Haarsh if their life has changed after having a baby. Then, the three of them nodded in affirmation when the actress mentioned that a kid is considered as a blessing.
Soon after the video was posted, one of her fans wrote, “@chum_darang you are amazing. May all that you dream of come true. Loved the podcast very knowledgeable too. Loved how bharti and harsh was motivating her. So sweet of both them.” Another mentioned, “Love and so so proud of her what a journey.” “Making whole India proud now that’s what I call a queen and she deserves all the happiness in life,” read a comment. A person also stated, “Chum waiting for your next project.”
Chum finished Bigg Boss 18 at the fifth position.
