Television actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee is fully immersed in her motherhood journey. A month after welcoming her baby boy with her husband Shanawaz Shaikh, the couple has been sharing sweet glimpses of their new life as parents. Recently, Devoleena shared how she’s embracing this beautiful new phase with joy and love.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Devoleena Bhattacharjee shared a couple of photos from her latest shoot. She was seen dressed up in a green dress from a Delhi-based clothing brand, Maternity Wear. The outfit featured an off-shoulder V-neck detailing with full sleeves. The voluminous skirt was attached to a long trail. The actress accessorised her look with a sleek diamond necklace.
For makeup, Bhattacharjee opted for blushed cheeks, thin strokes of eyeliner and glossy lipstick. A middle-parted, half-updo open hairdo rounded off her glam. The Saath Nibhaana Saathiya fame was seen posing for the lens from her home’s balcony. Sharing the photos, she wrote, “Embracing this new journey,” followed by a green heart emoji. Her caption was a subtle hint to the new phase of her life— motherhood.
Soon after Bhattacharjee dropped the photos, many of her fans complimented the actress. One of them wrote, “Uffff omg you look so pretty.” Another mentioned her pictures as “mesmerizing.” Someone said, “Why you look so beautiful devo.” Another comment read, “You are looking beautiful!! Glad that we could be the part of your wardrobe.”
Devoleena Bhattacharjee tied the knot with her gym trainer, Shanawaz Shaikh, in December 2022, opting for an intimate court wedding in Lonavala with close friends by their side. In August 2023, the actress shared the joyful news of her pregnancy, and on December 18, 2024, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, marking a new chapter in their lives.
A while back, the Sweet Lie actress shared a clip on her social media account to show a glimpse of her and Shanwaz’s parenthood. The video showcased the newbie father talking about how the baby refuses to sleep if not carried in her arms. Elaborating on the situation, he said, “Ye mere hath ni hain, Thakur ke hath kat gye hein. Mere hath me sense ni ho rahe hein. Ye bacha bolta hai, hath par loge to sounga. Jitna der ghumaoge, utni der sounga. Aur jaise hi neeche daloge, mai rounga (These are not my hands. I cannot sense them. This baby demands you to carry him in your arms. He will sleep only until he is in his arms and starts crying immediately if put down).”
Reflecting on their deep love for the newborn baby, we could also hear Devoleena asking Shanwaz, “Tumhara morning duty shuru ho gaya hai (Your morning has started)?” And Shanwaz responded, “Morning, night kuch pata nahi chal raha hai. Mera hath mehsoos nahi ho raha hai ki ye mera hath hai ya nai hai. Itna gym karne ke bad bhi nahi bache hain mere pas (Morning or night, everything is the same these days. I cannot feel my hands. Despite working out, my hands have given up.)”
