Maha Shivratri celebrations are in full swing across India. From devotees fasting the whole day to visiting temples to offer prayers to Lord Shiva, the entire country is celebrating the sacred day with great fervour. Among those who are marking this special occasion with devotion is the beloved television actress Neelu Vaghela. Best known for her works Diya Aur Baati Hum, Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji and Saajha Sindoor, the actress opened up about what Maha Shivratri means to her and how she is celebrating this year.
As quoted by ETimes, Neelu expressed her deep spirituality, saying, “I am a spiritual person and see God’s presence in everything, big or small. Maha Shivratri is a very special occasion for me.” The 54-year-old actress then talked about the many names of Lord Shiva, revealing that her personal favourite is “Mahakal.” Sharing the reason behind the same, she added, “’Mahakal’ is my favourite. It means the One beyond time and centuries. Maha Shivratri holds great significance, reminding us that everything is predestined by Him. He is the greatest.”
The Diya aur Baati actress then shared that her Maha Shivratri celebrations would begin with an early morning prayer at home. The next thing to do would be to visit Lord Shiva’s temple, where the divine atmosphere will fill her soul with peace and joy. “The morning vibes of the temple bring positivity to my soul, making my entire day bright and blissful. The chants of ‘Om Namah Shivaya,’ the fragrance of flowers and incense, and the sight of devotees in prayer create an aura of pure devotion,” she added. Towards the end, Neelu also wished her fans on the special occasion, saying, “May Lord Shiva bless everyone with strength, peace, and happiness on this sacred day.”
Speaking of Neelu Vaghela’s work, the 54-year-old actress, who made her debut in the early ‘80s, is seen in Shemaroo Umang TV’s serial Main Dil Tum Dhadkan. The show, which premiered in September last year, stars Radhika Muthukumar as Vrinda, Kavish Khunger as Krish, Zohaib Ashraf as Keshav, and Neelu Vaghela as Rajeshwari Devi. It revolves around the story of a single mom Vrinda, who goes from being an overprotective mother to sharing the responsibilities of her only child with Keshav.
