Pankhuri Awasthy is gearing up to make her TV comeback with a powerful cameo in Dhakkad Beera. After becoming a mother to twins, the actress wants to balance motherhood and her passion for acting. Recently, Pankhuri took to her Instagram handle to share heart-warming glimpses of her ‘family day out’ with her husband Gautam rode and kids Radhya and Raditya, leaving her fans in awe.
Sharing these delightful photos with fans, she wrote, “Family’s Day Out! (Followed by heart emojis)” In the first photo, Pankhuri Awasthy and Gautam Rode are seen holding their twins. The actress is dressed in a casual yet stylish blue and white striped, paired with white sneakers. On the other hand, her husband is dressed in a black t-shirt, black pants, and black shoes, keeping it simple yet sharp.
However, their adorable twins are the stars of the show. The two are dressed in matching red and white floral outfits, holding hands and smiling brightly.
The actress, who welcomed twins, a boy and a girl, in July 2023, also recently opened up about her acting comeback. In an interview with ETimes, Pankhuri revealed, “I’m just taking baby steps toward returning. A short-term character felt like the right place to start, especially to gauge how well I can balance everything. But I wouldn’t have taken it up if the role wasn’t strong and performance-driven.”
She also admitted that dealing with ‘mom guilt’ is one of the toughest parts of coming back to work, saying, “It’s something I go through all the time. As exciting as it is to get back, my kids are always at the centre of every decision. I’m constantly torn between motherhood and acting. But I believe it’s about good management. Modern mothers are the busiest and most anxious because we want to do it all.”
She added, “Initially, I thought of taking my kids with me for the outdoor schedule in Patiala, but I knew managing them along with shooting would be overwhelming. So, I flew my mother in from Lucknow and had my mother-in-law step in too. I have a strong support system, and with two kids, you need that army.”
On the work front, Pankhuri Awasthy is known for roles in shows like Suryaputra Karn, Razia Sultan and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She also appeared in Gud Se Meetha Ishq and Kaun Hai?.
