A major fire broke out in a flat at Cherry County Society in Greater Noida West, triggering panic among residents on Monday. The blaze reportedly started after sparks from welding work being carried out on the upper floor fell on a washing machine below, causing it to catch fire.
Visuals from the scene showed thick flames emanating from the flat.

Local police promptly arrived at the spot following an alert, and fire brigade personnel were also rushed in to control the situation. The fire was eventually brought under control. Authorities have stated that the exact cause of the fire is yet to be fully ascertained. The incident occurred in the Bisrakh police station area.
