Solapur becomes the eighth city on FLY91’s network and the fourth in Maharashtra, joining Pune, Jalgaon, and Sindhudurg.
FLY91 has officially launched its new route connecting Goa and Solapur yesterday.
Having said that, the airline will now operate four flights a week on this route — every Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The inaugural flight was greeted with a traditional water cannon salute at Solapur Airport, a warm welcome for the airline’s entry into one of Maharashtra’s key industrial and cultural hubs.
Flights Four Times a Week
The Goa–Solapur–Goa service will operate four times a week—on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Full flight schedules are available on www.fly91.in.
In a thoughtful regional touch, all inflight announcements will be made in both Marathi and English.
FLY91 Expands Reach Across Maharashtra
Solapur is the fourth city in Maharashtra to be added to FLY91’s growing network, after Pune, Jalgaon, and Sindhudurg. In total, the airline now serves eight Indian cities.
FLY91’s CEO, Manoj Chacko, said: “FLY91’s newly introduced Goa–Solapur–Goa route not only improves access between Goa and Solapur but also plays a significant role in bridging two important regions with strong cultural, spiritual and economic prowess.”
More Routes Coming Soon
FLY91 plans to expand further in Maharashtra. In July, the airline will start direct flights from Nanded to both Goa and Bengaluru.
The flight from Solapur to Goa was ceremonially flagged off by Murlidhar Mohol, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Co-operation. Also present were Guardian Minister Jaykumar Gore, local MLAs, state officials, the Airports Authority of India, and FLY91 representatives.
Though Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde couldn’t attend due to poor weather, all three extended their best wishes for the new route.
