To enhance passenger convenience, the railways is operating train number 03679/03680 Gaya-Coimbatore-Gaya Weekly Special between Gaya and Coimbatore via Prayagraj Chheoki, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Warangal, Vijayawada, Katpadi, and Salem, effective from January 4.
Due to ongoing redevelopment work at Gaya Junction, the terminal for this train has been temporarily shifted to Dhanbad Junction. The train will operate from Dhanbad instead of Gaya until further notice.
Changes to Train Operations
The stoppages and timings of the train between Gaya and Coimbatore remain unchanged. As per the new timetable, train number 03679 Dhanbad-Coimbatore Weekly Special will commence operations from Dhanbad on January 18 and run every Saturday, except on January 25, February 1, and February 8. Train number 03680 Coimbatore-Dhanbad Weekly Special will depart from Coimbatore starting January 21 and run every Tuesday, except on January 28, February 4, and February 11.
New Schedule from Dhanbad
Chief Public Relations Officer Saraswati Chandra shared the updated schedule:
Train 03679 Dhanbad-Coimbatore Weekly Special will leave Dhanbad every Saturday at 16:10, stopping at Nesub Gomo at 16:40, Parasnath at 17:00, Hazaribagh Road at 17:23, Koderma at 18:02, and Gaya at 19:30. It will then depart Gaya for Coimbatore at 19:35.
Train 03680 Coimbatore-Dhanbad Weekly Special will depart Coimbatore every Tuesday at 07:50, reaching Gaya on Thursday at 08:55. It will depart Gaya at 09:00, stopping at Koderma at 10:25, Hazaribagh Road at 11:00, Parasnath at 11:18, Nesub Gomo at 11:48, and arriving at Dhanbad at 13:00.
Additional Stop At Dehri
A halt for the special train has been added at Dehri-on-Sone station. Train number 03679 Dhanbad-Coimbatore Weekly Special will stop at Dehri-on-Sone at 20:40 and depart at 20:42. Similarly, train number 03680 Coimbatore-Dhanbad Weekly Special will halt at Dehri-on-Sone at 06:48 and depart at 06:50. These updates aim to improve passenger convenience and accommodate redevelopment work at Gaya Junction.
