Honda Motorcycle has added another offering to its Indian fleet named Rebel 500. The model has been launched at the starting price of Rs 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom). The vehicle is available for bookings, while the deliveries will kickstart somewhere in June 2025.
According to the details shared by Honda, the Rebel 500 has been offered only in a single Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic colour scheme. It means the customers will have only the options in the shades to choose from.
Design and Style
Talking about the design, Honda Rebel comes with a pure classic cruiser road presence, featuring a low-slung seat, wide handlebars and high-mounted fuel tank, which looks quite appealing visually. The company has treated the vehicle with a circular LED headlight setup, paired with round-shaped turn indicators at both ends. The engine is fully exposed, making it look bolder in the segment.
What’s Good?
For comfort, the Rebel 500 comes with a split seating arrangement with no grab handles for the pillion. The suspension setup has been managed by a conventional telescopic front fork at the front, while the rear section has received dual shock absorbers. The braking unit is handled by a single 296 mm disc for the former, while the latter has a 240 mm disc. This has been supported by dual-channel ABS.
Features and Engine
The bike comes with a single-pod instrument console, allowing the customers to acess all the significant details such as fuel capacity, speed, RPM and whatnot, at their fingertips.
Now, the important part, the engine! It uses a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that generates a maximum power of 45.59 BHP at 8,500 rpm and 43.3 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The unit is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
