The South Korea-based car manufacturer Hyundai has unveiled a new hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) named Initium. The model has been revealed in a full-concept avatar as of now.
The company is gearing up to display the latest Initium at the Los Angeles Auto Show and Auto Guangzhou. The former is scheduled to kickstart on November 22, while the latter is scheduled to begin on November 15, and will continue until Nov 24.
Production Model
Amid this, it has been informed that the brand is working towards the production avatar as well. It is expected to be released in the first half of 2025 globally.
Style and Design
Talking about the design language, the FCEV SUV gets a futuristic road presence, featuring a bold stance from the outside with a bunch of cool elements. It gets a unique box-shaped headlight setup. The fog lamps also have been treated with the same skylight unit. Even the four-box light system also can be seen at the centre of the front grille.
Efficiency
The concept also gets an aerodynamic body style with low-profile wheels. It is there to offer an impressive range somewhere around more than 650 km between refuelling. The comapny has included large hydrogen fuel tanks to maximize the vehicle’s range.
Power
Under the hood, the Initium concept gets a single electric motor that puts out up to 201 bhp, which is bigger compared to the Nexo. The model is also equipped with vehicle-to-load capability. It allows the user to supply power or charge external devices.
