Hyundai has also surpassed 1 million exports to Africa and introduced the Hyundai EXTER to South Africa in 2024.

Over the years, Hyundai has reached more than 150 countries and currently exports to over 60 nations.

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), a leading name in premium smart mobility, has celebrated 25 years of exporting passenger vehicles from India.

Since starting exports in 1999, Hyundai has shipped over 3.7 million “Made in India” cars to more than 150 countries, with exports currently reaching over 60 nations.

Key models like the Hyundai i10 family have surpassed 1.5 million units sold globally, while the VERNA family has crossed the 500,000 export milestone.

In 2024, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Mexico, Chile, and Peru emerged as the top markets for Hyundai, with 158,686 vehicles exported globally.

Mr. Unsoo Kim, Managing Director of HMIL, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “Hyundai Motor India Limited proudly stands as the largest exporter of passenger vehicles from India on a cumulative basis. Having exported over 3.7 million units over the last 25 years, HMIL has earned significant amount of forex for the nation, while putting India on the world map for its manufacturing mettle.”

Hyundai also celebrated surpassing 1 million exports to Africa and launching the Hyundai EXTER in South Africa, marking the eighth Made-in-India model to hit the market there.

Popular models like the CRETA, ALCAZAR, and i10 continue to make waves globally, cementing HMIL’s place as a leader in the automotive export industry.
