This futuristic electric vehicle (EV) takes the popular Hyundai Inster and gives it a dramatic makeover, blending gaming-inspired aesthetics with real-world engineering.
What’s in a Name?
The name Insteroid is a mix of ‘Inster’ and ‘Steroid’, highlighting its muscular and youthful character. Built on the Inster’s platform, this show car embraces unrestrained creativity to offer a fun and engaging driving experience. Since its global launch in June 2024, the Inster has been a bestselling EV in Europe and Korea.
Design & Features
Insteroid is all about enhancing the EV experience. Every detail, from its control buttons and instrument cluster to the rear spoiler and brakes, is crafted to add personality and excitement.
The teaser images reveal a striking design influenced by video game aesthetics. The car features large wheel arch air vents, massive 21-inch wheels, Signature Pixel LED lights, a rear spoiler and diffuser.
As per the official Press Release, Hyundai describes it as a ‘glitch’ in the automotive world, blending video game visuals with real-world engineering. It feels like a speedster straight out of a digital racetrack, ready to take on the streets.
Furthermore, the automaker plans to fully unveil Insteroid in April 2025.
