Arrested YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra has purportedly confessed to having been in touch with Pakistani security officers and Italian officials in Pakistan. According to ABP News sources, investigation officers said her “confession” indicates that she was acting on the instructions of Pakistan.
Jyoti was in constant touch with Danish, an officer at the Pakistan High Commission.
“I have a YouTube channel named ‘Travel with JO’. I have a passport. My passport number is 56098262. I went to the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi to get a visa to go to Pakistan in the year 2023,” Jyoti said in her statement. “There, I met Ahsan-ur-Rahim, also known as Danish. Danish and I exchanged mobile numbers 981xxxxx39 and then we started talking,” she said.

After that, she travelled to Pakistan twice, where she met Danish’s acquaintance Ali Hasan at his request. “Ali Hasan arranged for my stay and travel in Pakistan. Ali Hasan also arranged my meeting with Pakistani security and Italian officials. There, I also met Shakir and Rana Shahbaz. I took Shakir’s mobile number 92317xxxxx9 and saved it under the name “Jat Radhawan” so that no one would suspect me. Then I came back to India.”
“After that, I kept in constant touch with everyone through social media platforms like WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Telegram and started exchanging anti-national information. In the meantime, I met Danish at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi multiple times,” she said.
Jyoti was among the 9 arrested on suspicion of spying and passing on information concerning national security. One was arrested in Uttar Pradesh, three in Punjab, and four were arrested in Haryana. Jyoti was arrested in Hisar, Haryana.
The others are Davender Singh Dhillon, Nauman Ilahi, Arman, Tarif, Mohammed Murtaza Ali, Raqeeb Khan, and Shahzad.
