Siddharth Shukla’s sudden death surprised everyone, and he continues to remain in the hearts of his admirers and coworkers. The actor was last seen in the web show Broken But Beautiful 3, which premiered in May 2021 and died in September of the same year. In the latest, his last co-star Sonia Rathee fondly remembered him and expressed how she misses him.

In an interview with Filmygyan, Sonia was asked if she missed Siddharth Shukla while watching Broken But Beautiful 3. Replying to the same, the actress stated, “Mujhe bhi yaad aati hai, isiliye mein dekhti hi nahi hoon and I will cherish Broken But Beautiful 3 forever.” Last year, to honour Siddharth Shukla’s memory, producer-director Ekta Kapoor announced that they would skip the fourth season of the show. Reacting to the same, Sonia mentioned that it was a “Brilliant gesture.”

Sonia added, “I don’t think Agastya (Shukla) and Rumi’s (Rathee) story should have gone forward without Siddharth. It wouldn’t have felt right. This is a very beautiful homage to him. Ekta knew season four could not be made with anybody else but him. He deserved an homage and it’s quite beautiful that they decided to do that because he kind of encapsulates what Agastya was, and Rumi’s story can’t go on without him,” as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonia Rathee is set to appear in the horror-comedy film Kapkapiii, which is directed by Sangeeth Sivan and produced by Jayesh Patel and Vipin Agnihotri. Apart from her, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade will also be part of the film. This is a remake of the 2023 Malayalam film Romancham, which stars Siddhi Idnani. The film will be released in theatres on May 23. Sonia has also been seen in the Netflix series Decoupled as Masha, alongside R Madhavan and Surveen Chawla. She then starred as Tara in John Abraham’s love comedy Tara vs Bilal, which was released in 2022.
