The all-new Jeep Compass is set for a global debut in Europe by mid-2025.
First teased in October 2024, this latest preview reveals exciting design updates for the upcoming SUV. The new Compass will be built on the STLA Medium platform and manufactured in Melfi, Italy, as per Autocar.
The teaser images showcase the SUV’s boxy, upright shape, giving us a glimpse of the new Compass’s refreshed look. The front now features a rectangular LED headlamp design, moving away from the slight kink seen in the current model. The grille has also been updated with new lighting elements and a blanked-off appearance. At the rear, the tail lamps feature a two-part LED signature that stretches across the rear fender.
The profile teaser reveals a sloping window line, robust cladding over the wheel arches, and a flat bonnet. However, Jeep has yet to reveal any details of the interior.
The next-gen Compass will be built on the STLA Medium platform, which it shares with the upcoming Citroen C5 Aircross. While specifics are still under wraps, Jeep has confirmed that the new Compass will offer mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric powertrains. Some variants will come with an all-wheel-drive option.
However, the new Compass won’t be available in India. Reports suggest that the STLA Medium platform wasn’t deemed commercially viable for the Indian market, leading Stellantis to cancel the model for this region. The current Compass sells in limited numbers, so the investment for the new model didn’t justify the expected demand.
Production of the new Compass will begin in Melfi, Italy, in 2025, with a global launch slated for 2026, starting in Europe and expanding to North America and beyond.
