After taking the market by storm with the newly launched iX Long Wheel Base (LWB) version, the German carmaker BMW is all set to add the facelift avatar of iX to the fleet.
It has been reported that the comapny is likely to kickstart the production of the same in March. However, an official confirmation and exact related date are not known yet.
New Variants Options
If rumours are to be believed, the EV might be offered in three variants under the name iX 45, iX 60, iX M70. Previously, these trims were named iX 40, 50 and M70. The reports suggested that the comapny will continue to offer the M Sport Package across the trims, while the top-end version M70 available is likely to get an M Sport Pro Package.
What to Expect?
Talking about the cosmetic updates, the customers can expect slight nip and tuck updates from outside. It might get a tweaked bumper, uplifted front fascia, and some new elements at both ends front and back. Amid this, the charm will remain the same, featuring full of cuts and creases, complimented by signature style kidney grilles with illumination glows on borders, impressive dams, fully LED headlight setup, paired with DRLS.
Talking about the sides, the car might get new-style 20-inch alloy wheels with a sweet touch of silver insert. The option for the same might go up to 21-inch for the front and 22-inch for the rear. This is likely to be offered with M Sport Package. When it comes to the range-topping M70 variant, it is expected to be treated with impressive 23-inch wheels.
Battery and Power
Under the hood, the updated or facelift iX will use multiple battery options. The base model is likely to get 94.8 kW battery setup that will generate a maximum power of 396 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. The power figure might see a jump of 78 bhp and 70 Nm of torque as compared to iX40 outgoing model.
