For the very first time, Indian Railways will run the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Gorakhpur Express, also known as the Shram Katha Katra Express (train numbers 15067/15068).

Indian Railways has announced new train services connecting different parts of India to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and deeper into the Jammu region.
New Express Train from Gorakhpur to Vaishno Devi Katra
For the very first time, a new weekly train service called the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Gorakhpur Express (15067/15068 Shram Katha Katra Express) has been proposed.
- This train will connect Gorakhpur directly to Katra.
- Once the new railway line through Srinagar is ready, this service may be extended even further — allowing direct rail access from Eastern Uttar Pradesh to the Kashmir Valley.
Special Trains for the Festive Season
To manage the rush during festivals, Indian Railways has also launched special train services:
New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (Train Nos. 04049/04050):
Runs twice a week—on Mondays and Saturdays—until 27th November. These extra trains aim to ease crowd pressure during the pilgrimage season.
Hazrat Nizamuddin to Ujjain (Train Nos. 04412/04411):
Special trains for pilgrims travelling to Ujjain on selected dates, especially useful for religious gatherings.
Indian Railways is also running additional trains during key events and festivals such as:
- Diwali
- Chhath Puja
- Sant Nirankari Annual Samagam
