US Vice President JD Vance and his family received intense protests by the pro-Ukraine protesters during their weekend trip to Vermont.
This development came after VP Vance and President Donald Trump’s angry exchange with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House.
The protests saw individuals holding written messages on playcard with messages like ‘Shame On You Vance’, ‘Go Ski In Russia Traitor’, ‘Good-Bye Free World Traitor Trump Loves Russia’, ‘Ukraine Forever, Putin Never’, among others.

“After what he did yesterday, he crossed the line,” a protester named Cori Giroux told Vermont Public Radio. Another told the outlet, “After the meeting yesterday with Zelenskyy, I mean I feel like all of America should be out here protesting.”
The New York Post has reported that VP Vance was forced to move his family to an ‘undisclosed location’ after the demonstartion by the pro-Ukraine protesters at the Vermont ski resort where they were vacationing.
What Happened At The Oval Office?
On Friday, Trump and Vance criticised Zelenskyy during a tense Oval Office meeting, accusing him of being ‘disrespectful’ while he sought security guarantees from the US amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. Trump rebuked Zelenskyy for pushing for US security commitments, telling him, “You’ve got to be more thankful,” and warning that he was “gambling with World War III.”
The remarks came after Zelenskyy expressed distrust in Russian President Vladimir Putin’s promises of peace, arguing that Putin has a history of breaking ceasefire agreements. The exchange turned confrontational when Zelenskyy questioned the kind of diplomacy Vance was advocating, pointing out that Putin had repeatedly violated past agreements, news agency AP reported.
JD Vance, one of the administration’s most skeptical voices on Ukraine, then accused Zelenskyy of debating Trump in front of the American media. “Have you said ‘thank you’ once?” Vance asked. The tension escalated as Vance reacted angrily, accusing Zelenskyy of organising “propaganda tours.”
