Akshay Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej is one of the most auspicious festivals celebrated across India by the Hindu community. It is believed to be the day of new beginnings. Purchasing gold, property or starting new businesses on this day is thought to bring long-term success. This year, Akshay Tritya was celebrated on April 30. On the occasion, actress Kamya Panjabi, known for her stint in Bigg Boss 7 shared her take on this special day.
The actress shared that she doesn’t believe in limiting herself to make a fresh start on a specific date. “Akshay Tritiya is often regarded as one of the most auspicious days to start something new, whether it’s buying something unique, taking a huge step, or making a life decision. While I personally do not limit fresh beginnings to a specific date or muhurat, I admire individuals who find strength and positivity in such rituals. I believe that every day is a good day provided your intentions are pure and your heart is ready,” she said as reported by ETimes.
She added, “What is really important is that you do not postpone your goals due to fear or hesitation. Taking the initial step—however small—has enormous power. A fresh start does not need a perfect day; it’s just your confidence and belief in yourself.”
Kamya further shared that she believes waiting for the “right moment” often becomes an excuse and what is actually important is the intent and action. She said, “I believe in taking bold initiatives. Whenever the heart desires to do something new—whether it’s pursuing a passion, starting a new work, or purchasing something meaningful—we should just do it. Life goes quickly, and waiting for the “right moment” is often used as an excuse.”
“The intent and action are more important than the date on the calendar. So, to everyone who celebrates, may Akshay Tritiya bring courage, abundance, and new beginnings. Even if you don’t follow the practice, consider this a friendly reminder to start something you’ve been putting off. “After all, the best time to start is always now,” she concluded.
