The Lokayukta police on Wednesday asserted that no evidence was found against Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, his wife and other in the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case.
“Since the above allegations against accused-1 to accused-4 in the case have not been proven due to lack of evidence, the final report is being submitted to the High Court,” the Lokayukta police said, as per a report on PTI, in a letter to activist Snehamayi Krishna who is a complainant in the MUDA case.
The Lokayukta police have announced that they will conduct a further investigation into allegations surrounding the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and its compensatory plot allocations under the 50:50 ratio scheme between 2016 and 2024, as per the report. An additional final report will be submitted to the High Court under Section 173(8) of the CrPC.
The controversy involves claims that MUDA allotted compensatory plots in a prime Mysuru locality to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi, despite her original land—acquired by MUDA—being in a less valuable area. As part of the 50:50 ratio scheme, MUDA had allocated plots to Parvathi in exchange for 3.16 acres of her land, where a residential layout was later developed.

In 2017, MUDA reportedly decided to allocate an alternative site to Parvathi to compensate its land acquisition. She submitted another petition in 2021, seeking an alternative site, and in January 2022, she was granted 14 plots. However, the government discontinued the 50:50 scheme in October 2023.
