The final bathing day of the Maha Kumbh, Maha Shivratri, falls on February 26. In anticipation of this, the Prayagraj administration has implemented special arrangements for vehicles entering the city.

DCP Ganga Par, Kuldeep Singh Gunawat, personally oversaw preparations, inspecting parking areas and instructing police personnel on traffic management. The management of private vehicles arriving in Prayagraj commenced at 6:00 am on February 24.

Before the commencement of the Maha Kumbh on January 13, measures were implemented to ensure orderly parking and traffic flow. Vehicles entering the city are being directed to designated parking areas. Private vehicles arriving from the Delhi NCR region are being accommodated at the Dhoomanganj and Nehru Park parking facilities.

Vehicles that arrived earlier have been parked at the Parade Ground, CMP Degree College, Hindu Hostel, and Muslim Hostel, all in close proximity to the fairgrounds. These arrangements have been successful in preventing traffic congestion within the city, allowing vehicles to proceed at a steady pace.

Vehicles travelling from Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand are not permitted to enter the fairgrounds. Due to the large influx of devotees since Monday morning, authorities are directing these vehicles to parking areas near Aral Ghat and Saraswati Hi-Tech Parking.

Vehicles arriving from Lucknow are being directed to Bela Katihar in Phaphamau, while those coming from Jhunsi are being accommodated at the Andwa Samay Mata Mandir Jhunsi Parking.

The situation in Prayagraj appeared calm on February 24, with traffic congestion at typical levels. Vehicles moved steadily. Inside the fairgrounds, conditions were also normal, with the area designated as a vehicle-free zone to facilitate pedestrian movement for devotees.

Due to the continuous influx of devotees since morning, authorities directed them to Sangam from the Balsan intersection via the Bakshi Baad Over Bridge and Nagvashuki. Devotees arriving on foot from Prayagraj Junction faced a walk of approximately nine to ten kilometres.
