Union Home Minister Amit Shah has arrived in Prayagraj, where he is being warmly welcomed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, and other party leaders and workers. After a brief interaction with party members, Shah will head to the Arail Ghat, a VIP area, to take a holy dip at the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers. He is also expected to visit the Hanuman Temple, Akshay Vat, and meet saints and religious leaders at the Kumbh Mela. This visit is crucial as it serves as a precursor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Prayagraj on February 5, for a similar spiritual journey. Amit Shah’s trip today is also an opportunity to review the arrangements for the upcoming events and to gather feedback from the saints regarding the facilities at the Kumbh Mela. He will be accompanied by top state leaders throughout the visit.
