Mercedes-Benz is all set to increase the price range of its entire fleet in India by up to 3 percent. According to the details shared by the brand, the new price range will start reflecting on the model range from 1st January 2025.

The comapny says the decision has been taken after witnessing the increased commodity cost and higher logistics expenses, which resulted in higher operational costs for the company.

Model to Become More Expensive

It has been revealed by the brand that the hot-selling model GLC will feature a new price tag, which will be hiked Rs 2 lakh. The Maybach S 680 will also become expensive by Rs 9 lakh.

To note, the revised price range will not apply to the vehicles that are already in stock. Even nothing will change for the existing and future bookings until 31st December 2024.

Here’s What Top Official Says

Reacting about the same, the company’s MD & CEO, Santosh Iyer said, “Over the past three quarters, we have been facing increased pressure on our cost structure primarily driven by escalating material cost, fluctuating commodity pricing, increased logistics expenses and inflationary cost. While we have been absorbing these cost pressures by optimizing our operational costs and driving higher efficiencies, the overall bottom line is getting impacted, considering the current challenges.

He says, “To ensure the sustainability of our business we have decided for a nominal price correction. This price correction will apply to those vehicles currently not in stock, offering price protection for all existing and future bookings until December 31st. Flexible financing options from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services will ensure optimal total cost of ownership for our customers.”

Current Lineup

Currently, Mercedes-Benz offers a wide range of models in the Indian market. The fleet has over 30 models, out of which some are quite popular. The list includes GLA, GLS, C-class, GLC, S-class, E-class, Maybach GLS, EQS SUV, and GLE among others.
