Having said that, the MG Cyberster, dubbed the World’s Fastest MG Roadster, set a new record at India’s Sambhar Salt Lake in Rajasthan. The electric roadster, with its futuristic scissor doors, achieved an impressive 0-100 kmph acceleration in just 3.2 seconds.

This record-breaking achievement has been officially recognised by both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.

The record was set by Mira Erda, the first Indian female racer to win an international Formula 4 race, further building on MG’s strong reputation for excellence. MG has a rich history of record-breaking performance, beginning with the ‘Magic Midget’ in 1931, which was the first 750cc car to exceed 100 mph, achieving a speed of 103.13 mph. In 1957, the EX181 (based on the MG A) reached an impressive 245.64 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats, and in 1959, it set another record with a top speed of 254.91 mph using an upgraded 1506 cc supercharged twin-cam engine.

The MG Cyberster’s remarkable performance is matched by its stunning design. Paying tribute to MG’s heritage, it features a sleek Kammback aerodynamic design and boasts the world’s thinnest 77 kWh battery pack, just 110 mm thick. Inspired by the classic MG B Roadster, this roadster brings power, precision, and style to redefine modern sports cars.
