PM Modi Poland Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday emplaned for Warsaw, Poland to begin his two-nation visit. He became the first Indian PM to visit Poland in 45 years.
In a departure statement ahead of his visit to Poland and Ukraine, PM Narendra Modi said that Poland is a key economic partner in Central Europe.
“Today, I am embarking on an official visit to the Republic of Poland and Ukraine. My visit to Poland comes as we mark 70 years of our diplomatic relations. Poland is a key economic partner in Central Europe. Our mutual commitment to democracy and pluralism further reinforces our relationship,” he said.

The Prime Minister said that his visit to comes as both the countries mark 70 years of diplomatic relations. After Poland, the Prime Minister will travel to Ukraine.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Leaving for Warsaw. This visit to Poland comes at a special time- when we are marking 70 years of diplomatic ties between our nations. India cherishes the deep rooted friendship with Poland. This is further cemented by a commitment to democracy and pluralism. I will hold talks with President @AndrzejDuda and PM @donaldtusk. I will also be addressing the Indian community at a programme in Warsaw this evening.”

Ahead of PM Modi’s Poland Visit, the MEA issued a statement saying that the Prime Minister will be accorded a ceremonial welcome in Warsaw. He will call on President H.E. Mr. Andrzej Sebastian Duda. Later, PM Modi will also hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Donald Tusk. He is also slated to interact with the Indian community in Poland.
MEA official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, in an official statement, said, “This historic visit in this landmark year for India and Polish relations will provide an opportunity for our leaders to review the bilateral partnership and offer guidance on enhancing this cooperation in diverse areas and also discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest.”
