The final phase of Mumbai Metro Line 3 between Acharya Atre Chowk in Worli and Cuffe Parade in south Mumbai services kicked off today. It has been reported that the final phase is all set to operate in August this year.
The news was shared by the Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday. In view of checking the details, Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde rode by a Metro train, which was operated through the underground corridor. It started the journey from BKC to Siddhivinayak Temple.

According to the details shared by the authorities, the newly created metro section spans 9.77 km, covering underground in six advanced stations. These have been designed to offer top-notch convenience and safety to the passengers.
The report says the management will operate eight trains on the section with line runs at a frequency of every 6 minutes and 20 seconds. This will offer a fast means of transport, lowering the traffic congestion in the city, and providing timely travel for thousands of daily commuters.
Fares and Features
Talking about the fares, the routes seem quite affordable as the concerned department has priced the tickets under Rs 10 to Rs 40. As far as the features are concerned, the trains and stations are treated with a fully air-conditioned system with proper ventilation.
Apart from this, the trains also offer reserved coaches for women, 24×7 CCTV surveillance, high-tech baggage screening, infotainment screens, digital route maps, and seamless mobile connectivity, ensuring the metro Line 3 meets all the advanced modern tech, and offers an impressive travel experience to the passengers.
