Actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed on Thursday morning during scuffle with the attacker. The Mumbai Police are questioning several people in connection with the incident.
The Mumbai Police have detained floor-polishing workers for questioning in connection with the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case, the officials said on Thursday.
Khan lives on the 12th floor of an elite residential society in Bandra where he was stabbed six times by a thief on Thursday morning. He was admitted to Lilavati Hospital for treatment.
The police were already questioning three people in the incident — domestic servant, lift man, and security guard.
The police are also examining the CCTV footage of the building, based on which they have found two suspects, out of whom one could be the attacker, sources said.
The police are attempting to ascertain their identities. They will also record the statements of seven house helps who stay at the actor’s residence all the time.
The Mumbai Police have formed 15 teams to probe the case.
Saif Ali Khan Undergoes Surgery, Out Of Danger
The actor underwent surgery after sustaining six stab injuries in the morning, and he is now out of danger, his team said in an update.
Khan is recovering and the doctors are monitoring his progress.
“Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe and the police is investigating the incident. We would like to thank Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, Dr Leena Jain, and the team at Lilavati Hospital. Thank you to all his fans and well-wishers for their prayers and thoughts during this time,” the team said in a statement.
