NEET-PG 2025 exam date released, to be held in two shifts – check details


NEET PG 2025: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) shall conduct the NEET-PG 2025 on June 15, 2025. The exam would be held in a computer based format across two shifts, announced the board.

NEET PG 2025 Exam: Date; shift timings

The NEET-PG 2025 exam would be held on June 15, 2025.

The shift timings of the NEET PG 2025 exam are as follows:
• Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM

• Shift 2: 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM

NEET PG 2025 Exam : No of seats

The NEET PG 2025 exam is being conducted for admissions to 12,690 Master of Surgery (MS), 24,360 Doctor of Medicine (MD), and 922 PG Diploma seats across various institutions including the All India Quota (AIQ), state quota, deemed/central universities, and private colleges.

NEET PG 2025 Exam: Eligibility

All MBBS course students are required to complete their internship after the course, without which they would not be eligible for the NEET PG Exam.

The internship completion deadline for all NEET PG aspirants has been set for July 31, 2025, ensuring that all candidates meet the necessary eligibility criteria to appear for the examination.

NEET PG 2025 Exam: Congress slams delay in announcement of dates

Earlier this week, the Congress slammed the government over admissions for NEET-PG having still not been completed despite results being declared in August 2024.

“Results of the NEET-PG exams were announced on August 23, 2024. Today is March 11, 2025 and admissions have still NOT been completed. 80,000 aspiring medical post-graduates are suffering,” Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh said in a post on X, questioning Union Health Minister JP Nadda over the issue.

“This delay is unacceptable @JPNadda. Why is this happening?” the Congress leader questioned.
