True to the RS badge, this new Kodiaq is faster and sportier, featuring a more powerful 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine and bold styling upgrades.
A year after launching the all-new Kodiaq SUV globally, Skoda is back with the RS variant. Known for its sporty RS badge, the Kodiaq RS now comes with an upgraded 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and bold design updates.
Under the hood, the Kodiaq RS gets the same ‘EA888’ 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine found in the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
With 265 bhp and 400 Nm of torque, this RS model boosts power by 60 bhp and 80 Nm compared to the standard Kodiaq, delivering punchy performance to all four wheels. Skoda claims this seven-seater family SUV can race from 0-100kph in just 6.3 seconds, with a top speed of 231kph, according to Autocar.
It’s equipped with stronger braking power thanks to slotted brake discs and two-pot calipers on the front axle. The Dynamic Chassis Control Plus adaptive suspension system comes as standard, with 15 drive modes and active dampers for a super-smooth, customizable drive.
Design-wise, the Kodiaq RS stands out with bolder bumpers, a larger grille, sporty 20-inch ‘Elias’ alloy wheels with red brake calipers, and a sleek blacked-out look on the radiator grille, mirror caps, window frames, and roof rails. Plus, it comes with an illuminated grille as standard.
Inside, it boasts a 13-inch infotainment screen and thickly bolstered seats for extra comfort. Customers can choose between RS Suedia with Suede and leatherette seats or RS Suite with leather seats that also have a ventilation function. The all-black interior with red stitching completes its sporty look.
While there’s no confirmation yet on bringing the Kodiaq RS to India, Skoda is expected to launch the regular second-generation Kodiaq in the country by mid-2025. Currently, the first-gen model is available in India with a petrol engine, priced at Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
