Within just a month of its launch in India, over 2,700 units of the New Magnite have been sent from Chennai port.
Nissan Motor India has started exporting its newest SUV, the New Nissan Magnite, to South Africa.
This aligns with the company’s “One Car, One World” philosophy and its goal to make India a global export hub.
The vehicles are being shipped from Nissan’s Alliance plant in Chennai, marking South Africa as the first international market to receive the updated Magnite model.
Within just a month of its launch in India, over 2,700 units of the New Magnite have been sent from Chennai port. Since its debut in December 2020, the Magnite has sold more than 150,000 units globally, showcasing the success of Nissan’s “Make in India, Make for the World” initiative.
The New Magnite was launched in October 2024 in New Delhi, reinforcing Nissan’s strategy under its ‘The Arc’ plan. The updated B-SUV brings bold aesthetics, improved safety features, and cutting-edge technology, helping India shine as a key export base. Nissan now plans to expand the Magnite’s reach to over 65 international markets, including Left-Hand Drive regions.

The New Nissan Magnite features a tougher and bolder look, making its presence felt on the road. It comes with a refreshed exterior and interior design, offering over 20 new features for the Indian market.
Key safety upgrades include a reinforced body structure, six airbags, and advanced systems like Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, and Hydraulic Brake Assist.
