Nissan India is gearing up to fleet in India by adding three new cars under multiple segments. According to the reports, the deadline for the upcoming launches has been set before 2027. The company’s Managing Director, Saurabh Vatsa, has already confirmed the news regarding the same and shared the road map for the next two years.
As per the details shared by India Today, quoting the top official who said, ” Nissan has had a very long stint in India, and we are not going anywhere.” He said that the future models will cater for the wider audience, and will be truly value-for-money offerings. They will come with a bold style statement, featuring cutting-edge technology with advanced features.
Upcoming Nissan Cars For India
Talking about the first launch, it will fall under a subcompact MPV category, followed by a midsize SUV, and a 7-seater SUV. This will boost the company’s position in the market, allowing it to bounce back to fight in the competitive segments.
Launch Date and Expected Price
It has been reported that the first launch is likely to hit the market somewhere at the end of this year or the first quarter of 2026. The upcoming MPV is likely to use Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-A+ platform, which will offer impressive built quality and safety. The customers can expect the vehicle to be released at a similar price range as the Triber, ranging between Rs 6.15 lakh to Rs 8.97 lakh (all ex-showroom).
The model is expected to be offered in a 1.0-litre petrol engine, paired with a manual and AMT gearbox. It can also be launched in the CNG option.
As far as the second model is concerned, it will fall under the 5-seater SUV category and will be based on the CMF-B platform. It will compete against the hot-selling models such as Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
New 7-seater SUV
The third mode will be a complete 7-seater SUV. It is expected to arrive somewhere in 2027. It will use the company’s CMF-B platform, featuring a longer wheelbase. It will compete against the tech-loaded MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700/
