NueGo, India’s largest electric intercity bus service from GreenCell Mobility, has finally unveiled the country’s first electric AC sleeper bus.
The electric sleeper buses will operate on popular routes, including Delhi–Amritsar, Bangalore–Chennai, Hyderabad–Rajahmundry, Chennai–Madurai, Vijayawada–Vishakhapatnam, and Bangalore–Madurai.
This initiative is part of NueGo’s vision to offer a safe, comfortable, and eco-friendly mode of travel with a premium experience for passengers. The buses are the first in India to be certified with a 450 kWh HV battery, offering a maximum range.

The sleeper buses feature larger, ergonomic berths with backrests, overhead space, soft-touch interiors, and ambient LED lighting. Added luxuries include USB charging ports, night reading lamps, berth pockets, and modern sanitation facilities.
The buses are built with advanced features such as an aerodynamically designed front fascia, India’s first monocoque chassis for improved handling and stability, and weight-optimised construction for better efficiency and mileage.
The safety features include ABS brakes, ESC, full air suspension with ECAS, and a rollover-engineered structure to protect passengers.
With zero tailpipe emissions and cutting-edge technologies like regenerative braking, these buses provide a quieter, smoother, and eco-friendly travel experience. They offer a range of 350 km per charge, extendable to 600 km per day with fast charging.
Besides these, NueGo is the first to introduce a 24×7 helpline for female travellers, a Pink Seat feature during booking, clean and hygienic pit stops, and buses equipped with advanced security measures like CCTV surveillance, GPS tracking, driver breathalyzer tests, speed lock at 80 km/h, and more.
