The TV show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has been in the news for quite some time now. From changes in its storyline to shifts in TRP ratings, the show is mostly in the headlines. The makers have now decided to go for a major cast change. As part of this plan, actress Vaibhavi Hankare, who is currently part of the show, will make an exit. At the same time, Bhavika Sharma, who earlier played the lead, will return to the show. In a recent interview, lead actor Param Singh shared his experience working with Vaibhavi and gave fans a glimpse of what to expect from his character, Neil, once Bhavika returns.
Talking about Vaibhavi, he said working with her was a “fantastic experience.”
“She’s a truly lovely person and is incredibly professional. I found her to be mature, open, straightforward, authentic, creative, and very confident, which are indeed hallmarks of a great artist,” he said in an interview with Pinkvilla.
“Off-screen, we had a wonderful time because she’s very open, understanding, and encourages frankness, suggestions, and even improvisation. I really enjoyed working with her,” he added.
When asked about his working experience with Bhavika, Param shared that they have only shot the promo together so far. He said they haven’t yet filmed any full scenes, so it is too early to say anything in detail. “Having said that, I look forward to working with her,” he mentioned.
Param also revealed that there will be a “significant transformation” in his character, Neil, after the leap. He said Neil is going to become “more hardened and intense individual.”
“The exact trajectory of his relationship with that of Bhavika’s character is something that will unfold as the story progresses,” the actor said.
During the interview, Param also spoke about the criticism his character received in the beginning. He said, “It’s tough to pinpoint one reason, but it could be a combination of factors such as comparisons to established characters and storylines from previous seasons.”
According to him, since his character was new and brought a different dynamic to the show, it was natural that the audience needed some time to adjust.
“Art is subjective and I understand that audiences develop strong attachments to existing narratives and may find it difficult to immediately embrace a new direction,” he continued. “While I was drawn to the character and enjoyed portraying him, I respect that viewers have their own preferences and perspectives on what resonates with them as a story or character.”
Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin first premiered in October 2020 with Neil Bhatt, Ayesha Singh and Aishwarya Sharma in lead roles.
