Pilot Killed After Helicopter Dousing South Korea’s Worst Wildfires Crashes


A helicopter deployed to douse South Korea’s worst wildfires has crashed, killing its pilot. The helicopter lost control and crashed in Uiseong at around 2 pm local time, local news agencies reported. At least 18 people have been killed, and an ancient Buddhist temple, houses, factories and vehicles were damaged in the wildfires.
