PM Modi Urges BJP CMs To Maintain Integrity Of Central Welfare Schemes: ‘No Reductions, No Addi

In a directive to chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of BJP-ruled states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday emphasised the importance of implementing central government welfare schemes without any alterations. The statement was made during the second day of the two-day ‘mukhyamantri parishad’ meeting, which began on Saturday. Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and BJP national president J.P. Nadda were also in attendance.

Prime Minister Modi stressed the necessity of adhering strictly to the guidelines of the central welfare schemes, such as the Pradhan Mantri Anna Yojana, which provides 5 kg of food grains per person per month to families. He urged the states to ensure neither any reduction nor increase in the quantity of food grains distributed under this scheme.

“The central government meticulously plans and evaluates the impact of these schemes before their implementation. Therefore, it is crucial not to make any modifications reductions, or additions,” Modi asserted. He further called for a focus on the full and accurate execution of these schemes to ensure their benefits reach the intended recipients.

He also emphasised the role of BJP workers in assisting with the schemes’ implementation and ensuring that only eligible individuals benefit from them.
