Skoda’s all-new Kylaq subcompact SUV has already made a big impact, reaching 10,000 bookings just 10 days after order books opened.
This new addition to Skoda’s range, priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom, India), is the smallest model in the company’s line-up. What’s truly remarkable is that these bookings came without the SUV even being available in showrooms yet, based only on online information.
Customers won’t be able to test drive the vehicle until January 27, 2025, when deliveries are also set to begin.
Petr Janeba, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, commented, “10 days and 10,000 bookings, without a car in the showroom! For us, Kylaq is a completely new car, in a completely new sub-4m SUV segment. These 10,000 bookings have come without any possibility for customers to experience Kylaq, which reflects the unmatchable trust in the Skoda brand, and we are extremely humbled. We are confident that Kylaq will democratise European technology on Indian roads.”
To build excitement before the official launch, Skoda Auto India has launched the ‘Dream Tour’. Over the next 43 days, three Skoda Kylaq SUVs will visit around 70 cities across the country, giving potential customers the chance to see and experience the car in person.
“The India ‘Dream Tour’ will bring the Kylaq closer to its growing fanbase, offering a first-hand experience of its unique features and modern design
The Skoda Kylaq sub-4-metre SUV will come with a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, available with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic torque converter. Notable features include all-LED lighting, 16-inch alloy wheels, powered and ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, and an array of safety features such as 6 airbags, ESC, ISOFIX, and rear parking sensors.
