Revanth Reddy claimed that the current government enacted “black farm laws,” fostered unemployment, and sought to divide India between North and South. He argued that, unlike the current administration, Congress historically maintained a “Gentleman’s Agreement” by electing a President from South India if the Prime Minister was from the North, fostering national unity. “That’s why we had Presidents like Neelam Sanjiva Reddy and APJ Abdul Kalam from the South,” he stated.
