Ever since the Tata Punch was released in the Indian market, it has received an overwhelming response from customers. Following the positive market impact, the company is now poised to introduce a facelift version of the micro SUV.
It has been reported that the upcoming launch might take place somewhere in the festive season. However, the company has yet to reveal an official date. Ahead of the official release, the vehicle has been spied during the testing phase, revealing an overall style statement and some of the important updates.
Here’s What Spy Shots Say
Going by the spy images, it seems like the model might hit the market with a long list of style cues from the electric version. It is likely to get an improved headlight setup without a connected LED unit. It will be paired with similarly round-shaped helogen fog lamps at the bottom.
The customers also might not get the trending connected light bar at the back as well. However, the model is expected to run on the new set of alloy wheels, which will somehow uplift the design game.
Interior Updates
Moving inside the cabin, it is the area that is expected to get the top update. The upcoming version is likely to feature a new illuminated multi-functional 2-spoke steering wheel, similar to the newly launched Tata Altroz, with trending features such as a wireless charger, automatic climate control, new seat fabric, among others.
The other notable update includes an improved 10.2-inch infotainment system with a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, which will enhance the overall driving experience by providing significant details on the digital display.
Engine Options
Nothing will change under the hood, which means the Tata Punch Facelift will use the same 1.2L normal petrol engine, which will generate a maximum output of 88PS and 113Nm of peak torque. The unit will be mated with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT option. Apart from this, the vehicle will be offered in a 1.2LCNG bi-fuel option with the twin-CNG cylinder technology.
