Amid all the challenges and discussion with the central government, the electric giant Tesla reportedly is all set to open its first showroom in Mumbai. It has been revealed that the deadline for the same has been set for July. However, the company has not released any official statement as of yet.
If everything goes as per the report, Tesla will soon dominate the largest electric vehicle market like India, and will dominate some of the hot-selling products in the country. It will be a significant step for the company as it has witnessed a massive decline in sales in the European and Chinese markets.

According to the report shared by Bloomberg News, Tesla will introduce one of its tech-loaded models in the country as soon as the operation kicks off. Initially, it will bring the Model Y with a rear-wheel drive configuration, allowing the target audience to get familiar with the technology. Later, the company might launch some other models after witnessing the market and the response from the customers.

Ahead of the official release, the Model Y has already been spied during the testing phase, revealing some of the important details about the electric car. According to all the spy images and testing videos, the model looks quite aggressive from the outside. It shares the same style statement as the model that is being sold in the international market.

The reports also suggested that EVs will be imported directly from Tesla’s facility, located in China. Bloomberg News also claimed that the details about the same have been revealed by the top official who has been directly associated with the brand. As far as the prices are concerned, after all the favour from the government without taxes, the Tesla Model Y might go on sale for over $56,000 (around Rs 48.48 lakh).
