Her second marriage is with TV actor Kunal Verma, whom she dated for nearly three years before tying the knot. During this time, she also embraced motherhood.
Puja rose to prominence with her portrayal of ‘Goddess Parvati’ in the mythological series Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev and later played ‘Mata Vaishno Devi’ in Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi. These roles not only brought her immense fame but also cemented her place in the hearts of Indian television audiences.
Apart from serials, Puja has shown her versatility in reality shows like MTV Roadies, Comedy Circus, and Bigg Boss, while also appearing in regional cinema. Despite her widespread fame, she has remained fairly private about her personal life — until she chose to share some important milestones with her fans on social media.
In April 2020, during the Durga Puja festivities, Puja revealed via an Instagram post that she and Kunal had already registered their marriage about six weeks earlier. The couple had initially planned a lavish wedding, but it had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 lockdown. Puja and Kunal had been engaged since 2017.
Later that same year, the couple welcomed their son. Puja, who was pregnant before marriage, openly embraced her journey into motherhood. Today, she often shares heartwarming glimpses of her family life with her husband and son through photos and videos, showing a beautiful balance between career and home.
What many may not know is that Puja’s journey began at the young age of 15, when she eloped and married her then-boyfriend Arunoy Chakraborty in 2004. The marriage lasted nine years, and the couple eventually parted ways amicably in 2013.
Following her divorce, Puja shifted her focus entirely to her acting career. It was during this phase that she landed the iconic role of ‘Goddess Parvati’ – a defining moment that changed her life forever. Since then, Puja hasn’t looked back, consistently proving her talent and resilience.
