The partnership supports ThunderPlus’ ‘One District, One Thunder’ vision, ensuring that every district in India has at least one ThunderPlus charging station, with a focus on national and state highways.
The first charging stations are already active in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vizag, and Rajahmundry.
ThunderPlus and Turno have joined hands to set up ultra-fast 1 MW charging stations along major highways, starting with the Hyderabad-Vizag route.
This move aims to tackle range anxiety and speed up the shift to electric buses and heavy commercial vehicles.

“While these charging stations are primarily designed for electric bus operations, they will also function as semi-public charging hubs,” said Rajeev YSR, CEO of ThunderPlus.
Sudhindra Reddy, Founder of Electrigo, a Turno subsidiary, shared his excitement: “With this collaboration, Electrigo aims to replace 10 crore bus kilometers of diesel consumption with electric by the end of 2026, marking a significant step towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.”
Charging stations are already operational in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vizag, and Rajahmundry, with plans to expand to more highways soon.
