Tina Datta has written a moving note for her grandmother. “Will miss you with all my heart, Amma,” she wrote.
Television actress Tina Datta is a well-known name in the television world, thanks to her acting chops and impeccable fashion sense. After rising to fame with the television show Uttaran, the actress has been part of several popular TV shows such as Daayan and Karmaphal Daata Shani. Having said that, Tina recently brought tears to the eyes of her fans after she shared the heartbreaking news of her grandmother’s demise. On January 15, the actress penned a long and emotional note on her social media handle mourning her grandmother’s demise.
In the post, the first clip opened to show the actress showering her grandmother with ample kisses and hugs. Following this were several pictures and videos of the actress with her loving grandmother. There were also pictures of her grandmother sitting on a chair wearing cool sunglasses.
Sharing some priceless photos and videos with her on Instagram, Tina penned, “And lost a piece of my heart… Someone who was extremely dear to me and loved me with all her heart… She was my safe heaven. My comfort zone, my happiness… To no more sloppy kisses and Lobee you, to no more cheek rubs and cheek pulls, to no more troubling up and making her wear nail polish, to no more her making me all the amazing sweet dishes and bhog. To no more calling and asking, “koube ashbi?” Taratari aai, sabdhane jash.”
Furthermore, she expressed, “Today, whatever little spiritual I am, all thanks to Amma… Will miss you with all my heart, Amma. Things are never gonna be the same without you… Words fall short. You held a very very very special place in my heart and vice versa. and I know I was your only Fav. Love you amma…11.01.2025.”
“Ps she was the prettiest of all. And her skin would glow like anything, no moisturiser no lotion, just natural beauty. and I would rub my cheeks against her and tell her “Amma ektu sundor kore daona (make me look as pretty as you) amar sundori Kamala, amar Minu, will miss you,” she added.
Speaking about Tina Dutta’s work, the actress made her acting debut at the age of five with the show Sister Nivedita. In 1997, she made her film debut as a child artist with the film Pita Maata Santan. Since then, she has been part of several Hindi and Bengali films, including Chokher Bali and Parineeta. She catapulted to popularity after playing the role of Ichcha in the drama series Uttaran. Co-starring Rashami Desai, Nandish Sandhu, Rohit Khurana, Sreejita De and Mrunal Jain, the show aired on ColorsTV till 2015.
She last starred in Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum, which aired from April 10 to September 22, 2023. The show also featured actor Jay Bhanushali as the lead.
