Sawan Last Somwar: Today marks the final Monday of the Sawan month, coinciding with the festival of Raksha Bandhan. Since early morning, devotees have been flocking to Shiva temples. A large number of worshippers are arriving for the ritual of Jalabhishek. The temples are resonating with chants of “Har Har Mahadev.” At the Mahakaleshwar Temple, the Bhasma Aarti was performed. A significant number of devotees and Kanwariyas are also gathering at Baba Baidyanath Temple in Deoghar. The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is similarly echoing with chants in praise of Lord Shiva.
