The leading player in the two-wheel segment, Triumph, has expanded its fleet in India and has added a new variant in the Scrambler 400 range called XC. It has been released at the starting price of Rs 2.94 lakh (ex-showroom), making it 28,000 more expensive as compared to the standard version.
The company has released the variant in three new colour options, allowing customers to have more options. The list includes Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White. The latest trim has reached the authorised dealerships across the country and is available for purchase.
What’s New
Talking about the top highlights, the Scrambler 400 XC now comes with tubeless, cross-spoke wheels, falling on the same size 19-17-inch diameter as the standard avatar. It continues to get an aggressive style statement, featuring body-coloured flyscreen and front fender. This makes it look better and bolder than the base model.
Apart from this, an aluminium sump guard and engine crash guards provide extra protection to the motorcycle. To make it superior in the segment, the brand has also added improved graphics on the fuel tank and on the side. When it comes to the suspension, the setup has 150mm of travel at both ends and decent ground clearance of 195mm.
Engine And Power
Nothing has been touched at the heart. This means Scrambler 400 XC uses the same 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, generating a maximum power of 39.5 bhp and 37.5Nm of torque. The unit is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Comfort
The suspension setup has 150mm of travel at both ends, ground clearance is 195mm, and the seat height is 835mm. On the feature front, there is traction control, switchable ABS, ride-by-wire throttle, assist and slipper clutch, and a USB charger.
