US President Donald Trump’s ‘gold card’ or the ‘Trump Card’ is now open for applicants providing permanent US residency for exchange of USD 5 million to the government.
Taking to his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote that individuals can gain access to what us calls the “The Trump Card” for five million dollars.
Trump had floated the idea about the card in February this year, shortly after his return to the White House for a second term.
He described the card as a “gateway to the greatest country and market anywhere in the world.” He also posted a link to the waiting list in his post, which redirects users to a page titled “Trump Card – Pathway to Citizenship official waitlist”.
Those interested in joining the $5 million club are invited to enter their name, country of origin, whether they are an individual or a business, and their email address on the website.

All About Trump’s Gold Card
The gold card programme would be among the most expensive visa programmes in the world and would replace the current EB-5 immigrant investor visa programme that allows individuals to reside in the US in return for job-creating investments of at least $1m or $800,000 in distressed parts of the country.
Commerce Secretary, Howard Lutnick said all applicants applying for the premium card would be thoroughly vetted to ensure they were “wonderful, world-class global citizens.”
Despite the staggering $5 million price, the new visa-for-sale scheme is likely to be popular among the global super rich. America’s unusual tax systems is one possible impediment as it makes US citizens answerable for US taxes on income earned anywhere in the world.
The announcement for the premium citizenship programme came amid the Trump administration’s crackdown on undocumented immigrants who were deported to their home countries, chained and shackled.
