The Vietnam-based carmaker VinFast has been putting in efforts to create a safe spot for itself in a competitive market like India. In order to capture the target audience, the company is gearing up to introduce two products for the customers, named VF6 and VF7.
Both of them models will fall in the electric category, and are set to launch later this year. Ahead of the official launch, the company has confirmed that it will kickstart the booking for the above-mentioned models in June this year.
Locally Assembled Models
According to the reports, the brand is setting up its plant in Tamil Nadu, and most of the products with cutting-edge technology will be produced from the facility. The reports suggested that the operation at the plant will begin in the upcoming weeks, and the yearly target for producing the units has been set at 50,000.
Here’s What To Expect From VinFast VF7
Talking about the VF7 first, it will be positioned in the premium SUV segment. It will compete against the midsize electric SUVs. The EV is expected to hit the market with a futuristic style statement, featuring all the advanced elements that are being valued from the customers’ perspective. It will get fully V-themed LED DRLs, split headlight setup, active air vents, massive bumper with a connected light bar at both ends.
It is expected that the vehicle will run on the stylish 18-inch alloy wheels. When it comes to the dimension, it will flaunt a rather long 4.5 metres in length. The VF7 production model is likely to get a receding roofline and will offer a coupe-like charm.
What About Range And Battery?
At the heart, VF7 will be offered in two motor options. The single motor will be there that will offer about 201 bhp and 310 Nm, while the dual motor setup is expected to generate a maximum power of 343 bhp and 500 Nm. Both trims will be treated with a 75.3 kWh battery pack, and might provide a claimed range up to 450 km (WLTP) on a single charge.
